This year is the 5th annual Millsys’ Pop-Up Restaurant and to mark this milestone we would like to announce a very special fundraising goal for the event.

For many of us, there is nothing more important than the health and well-being of children – our own and those in our community. Currently, critically ill children on the Sunshine Coast are transported from outer lying Emergency Departments in the region to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) for specialised treatment by the Paediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU). This transfer can often only be undertaken by the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit team from Brisbane’s Children’s Hospital who must fly from Brisbane to our hospitals to facilitate the transfer. This can take between 6-8 hours and the delays can greatly impact the outcome for the child in care.

The equipment we will be fundraising for on the 26th October will facilitate the development of a local SCUH PCCU transport team which will address the increasing demand to transport critically unwell children on our Coast and give our Sunshine Coast kids the best chance possible. This is an incredible legacy to be a part of and we look forward to a night of fun, fine-dining and friendship as we celebrate 5 years of fundraising.
